Ice
Run for July....7/28/10

We arrived on a slightly cloudy day, but it was warm. Wildflowers
everywhere....

There was around 300 pounds of ice left...
The temperature was -100F...

We loaded in our 1500 pounds, leaving approximately 1800 pounds
total.

A very interesting Black Crystal formation....

On the way down the hill, we ran into a UPS truck that was
hung up on the
rocks in the ditch. Being as both of us were Eagle scouts,
we assisted the
driver in freeing up his vehicle with very little visible damage.
UPS is
pretty tough on it's drivers who damage trucks.....

A few days later, an old college roomate stopped by and we
went up to Ned to see Grandpa.
Naturally, we had to have the traditinal toast...

Rick was pretty much in awe of Grandpa, hanging on to his toe
tag and quaffing a bit 'o Old Grandad on dry ice....
